Good Morning! I’m joining LeeAnna at Not Afraid of Color and friends, sharing “likes” in my life. Today, I'm back stitching with friends at our county library! We are so fortunate to have this venue available at no cost to our community. You may have heard about an upsetting fiasco that happened at our Campbell County Public Library last week. If you want to know, check out this link. CCPL- Gillette WY and then this. If you don't want to be thoroughly PO'd, then refer to image number 4 below. Edited: I just re read my post. I wonder if my comments were misunderstood? I do not support the protestors! I was sickened by this act of intolerance.
These signs are in front of our library this morning!
The signs are not in focus sorry! Large red hearts with the words My Library.
I got mail early in the week. I was so busy working on Positivity QAL, that I didn't even open it.
I knew what it was.
The Daily Deal from MSQC was this tiny iron. I've been eyeing these on other quilter's tables for sometime. My extra iron next to my machine is not coming back on after the auto shut off kicks in. I have to get up and unplug it and plug it back in before it heats up again. So a new iron was needed.
My positivity quilt, Cappuccino with a Blueberry Bagel is a flimsy. And in the bag, with backing and batting to go to the quilter!
A quote on an antique quilt from Bonnie Hunter's Facebook page. True statement!
The painting of our house is finished! We hare very pleased with the workmanship and the painter himself. His attention to detail, and the fact that he cleaned up after himself. He was just genuinely a nice guy!
Not exactly sure what color it is, they mixed to match what was there before and that one was called Straw Bonnet or something like that. :) It's a creamy light yellow.
The dark green trim , the paint store named Blauert Green. It's a funny thing. That isn't our name, but it is someone we know! LOL The door into the garage had been dark red. I don't know, I thought I wanted a red door once. It peeled badly! This looks good.
I'm glad to be starting on the zigzaging on border #2 of the spool quilt. The second half of my OMG for July. The yellow is done, now the dark red is done. I have a bit of orange and 2 pink hearts, then all the green vine and leaves! I can get it done! I know I can!
And this made me shake my head and giggle to myself. It's a basket I have on an upper shelf in my sewing room. It's where I put prepared bindings for quilts in progress. So I have them at the ready. This only happens if I know what the binding will be. Sometimes I have to wait for the quilt to speak to me. This is fabric that coordinated with the backing of my Garlic Knots quilt. It isn't sewn together to a long strip, but they are all cut and neatly in the basket. With a sticky note! The problem is, that quilt was finished a bit ago and now lives in Vermont. It received a dark burgundy binding! So much for being organized!! LOL
