Hands2Help. Donation Link UP

I'm linking up today to again show the donation quilts that I will be sending to Little Lambs of Utah. I have contacted them about the box and I just need to print a label.  I had hoped to have 3 to send, but my long arm quilters are all booked.   So when I get #3 quilted and bound and washed and ready, I'll send it one.  Sometime this summer, I'm sure.

Any Kid Quilt = Rainbow colors
There is a shadow from the cabinets in my laundry room. But it's still wet outside from the rain we got last night.

Follow Your Own Path QAL = I've renamed it Go Your Own Way.......

I LIKE Thursday #54

                            Yay! It’s Thursday!

I’m joining friends at Not Afraid of Color to share “likes” and good “stuff”!

Mr Busy washed both vehicles this week! I like that he maintains clean, neat inside vehicles. While we were at the car wash, I spotted these pretty baskets!  I think it’s nice that whom ever is “working at the car wash” helps maintain a pleasant place!

My neighbor asked me to raid her zucchini patch while she was out of town. Only one small one to sauté, one made zucchini boats filled with shredded pork and topped with mozzarella cheese and tomatoes! Sorry, no pictures. But they were yummy.

The others were grated and 2 cups went into a Cinnamon Zucchini cake and the rest in the freezer!

I participated in Sandra’s Follow Your Own Path QAL in from April 3rd to June 15th. I was lucky enough to win a prize. A roll of Hobbs Q-sized batting! I was thrilled. Sandra mailed my prize the end of June from Canada! I finally received it on July 24th! Luckily I have Informed Delivery with the USPS, and was just about to try to contact the USPS , when I saw it started to move.  Thanks Sandra and Hobbs Batting!

My neighbor planted sunflowers and pumpkins and some beans in her front yard. See the photo below! She brought me a sunflowerin a water bottle tied with an orange ribbon and 6 homemade chocolate chip cookies. That put a smile on my face and Mr Busy was excited about the cookies. He walked their dog for 3 days while they were at a family reunion.

Guess that’s all for this week! Click on over to LeeAnna’s blog, Not Afraid of Color and see what good things are happening around the blogosphere!

ps:  as I opened blogger Friday morning, I noticed I hadn’t actually  published my post for Thursday. I usually schedule it the night before. Seems like I missed a step. We had a leak under the kitchen sink Wednesday night ( I may have been distracted) and I was away from home all day Thursday! I hope to peek in on the other I Like Thursday participants this weekend!

I LIKE Thursday # 52

I Like

Good Morning! I’m joining LeeAnna at Not Afraid of Color and friends, sharing “likes” in my life.

On Saturday a friend and I attended a local Garden Walk!

Shades of green  and a pop of color!

Homemade cage to protect her hostas from the deer,

Did you spy the iridescent peacock garden art. The homeowner had two peacocks in this mostly shady part of her garden .

Cappuccino and a blueberry bagel ! My Positivity blocks.

All four corners and all four sides are finished! This is the Follow Your Own Path QAL from Sandra and Musings of a Menopausal Melon     I love it so much! I have changed it's name to Go Your Own Way. Like the song from Fleetwood Mac. Although the song is sad, about the breakup between Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham, this little quilt makes me happy! Everyone should be allowed to Go their Own Way.

We are having our house painted! In the past, Mr Busy would have tackled it himself. It’s only a ranch with a two car garage, but still requires hours on a ladder in the sun. He has finally acquiesced and admitted it’s dangerous for him at almost 77. I’ll be glad to have it looking fresh. I’d  show pictures, but still in the priming stage…nothing much to see!

My list is short today, Back to the sewing room! Not stitching with friends today! Most are gone to our State Quilt Guild Convention . I’m not ready to be that intimate yet. Sleeping in college dorms, eating in the cafeteria, sitting in closed classrooms! Most of Wyomingites are not vaccinated! I am, but why tempt it!

After some sewing, I'll be visiting the other bloggers listed on LeeAnna's blog. Come check it out.

 1. Do at least one dark hollow 9-patch.

Just one to add to the dark blue one from last week!

2. Make 24 Positivity  blocks.

3. Finish binding on Go Your Own Way!

Done finally!  Stitching the binding to the minky batting was a bit of a chore.

4. Start laying out border #2 for spool quilt    ***failed***   the other things on my list took too long!

Finished or Not Finished Friday #59

I was hoping to be able to show a finally finished today. But hand stitching the binding to this minky backed little quilt I proving to be a bit of a chore. It is taking more time! So all I have to show you is three corners and 2 side plus a few inches. Gotta love those Wonder Clips!

Four of the intended 8 blocks for CiL’s July- Aug block drive. I love this block. It’s a tutorial from

sewingaseam.wordpress.com. May 22, 2017. She shows it as a pillow cover. The block is 18” finished.  Covered in Love requires the block to be 12 finished or 12.5 inches unfinished. I used just the center of Sara’s block and added a 2.25” border all around. I, then trimmed the block to exactly 12.5! It gave me a little wiggle room!

And 12 more Positivity QAL blocks. I need 48 total, I have 36!

I know it’s hard to tell, so here are all 36 so far. On the family room floor, because my design wall isn’t big enough! In no particular order. This is how they came out of the project box.

I'm linking this finished post about unfinished projects to Alycia Quilts. Hop on over there to see lots of finished projects!
