I LIKE Thursday!
It’s been a slow uneventful week. There were naps! There was Breakfast for Supper. I don’t have photos, but it was Biscuits and Gravy, bacon and scrambled eggs. One day we made, fried chicken tenders, garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli florets with nacho cheese. There was leftovers or “planned overs” as my sister used to say. I’m a big fan of Cook Once, Eat Twice!
I finished my book club read. Angel Falls by Kristin Hannah! Probably 4/5 ⭐️
And started this one :
Mr Busy has been busy too!
He’s building a boat. No pattern, just a photo!
I finished making the backing for a quilt for my nephew. It’s pieced! I needed to be 86 1/2” X 86 1/2”. There was math error! I needed 3 more inches on one side! For Pete’s Sake! I’m hoping my quilter will use the opposite side to attach to the frame. Then I will probably get most of the yellow back! I just about don’t have enough floor space to lay this large backing out. It really is not wonky. I couldn’t get to the right side, it’s right up against the entertainment center, to straighten it.
I finally finished this stitch!

Your meals are making me hungry - there's not much better than biscuits and gravy and fried chicken and mashed taters. You and Mr. Busy are so cute - love hearing your voices. That's a fancy boat!
ReplyDeleteYum, your meals sound so yummy! I am definitely in agreement with the plannedovers!
ReplyDeleteI love breakfast for dinner. We haven't had that in ages, hmmmm, maybe next week. My kids didn't care for leftovers when they were little. Now that they are adults, they understand. The quilt is gorgeous, as is your cross stitch. I love the block finish. Mr. Busy is doing a great job on the boat. He is so talented to be able to build from a picture.
ReplyDeleteBreakfast for supper is good stuff! We like the cook-once-eat-twice thing, too. That boat building - how cool is that?! I like your projects.
