I LIKE Thursday!

It’s been a slow uneventful week.There were naps! There was Breakfast for Supper. I don’t have photos, but it was Biscuits and Gravy, bacon and scrambled eggs. One day we made, fried chicken tenders, garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli florets with nacho cheese. There was leftovers or “planned overs” as my sister used to say. I’m a big fan of Cook Once, Eat Twice!

I finished my book club read. Angel Falls by Kristin Hannah! Probably 4/5 ⭐️

And started this one :

I am a Sarah Addison Allen fan. I am loving this one so far.

Mr Busy has been busy too!

He’s building a boat. No pattern, just a photo!

I finished making the backing for a quilt for my nephew. It’s pieced! I needed to be 86 1/2” X 86 1/2”. There was math error! I needed 3 more inches on one side! For Pete’s Sake! I’m hoping my quilter will use the opposite side to attach to the frame. Then I will probably get most of the yellow back! I just about don’t have enough floor space to lay this large backing out. It really is not wonky. I couldn’t get to the right side, it’s right up against the entertainment center, to straighten it.

I finally finished this stitch!

This is a view from the end. The stitching is wrapped around a block of florists foam and pinned with sequin pins! Then fabric is wrapped around the back and pinned and ribbon covers the “seam” where the linen and fabric meet! Easy peasy!

Good Morning! Positivity Seekers! Today I am sewing with a group of friends who haven’t met in awhile! We each will have our own table. It’s a large room!

Wednesday, Mr Busy was able to participate in his hobby! He planned to fly this airplane. He’s been working to get it ready for weeks!

He put a smaller less expensive plane in the air first. A plane made out of poster board, he calls it his “foamy” He wanted to get some airtime, before putting this big expensive “bird” in the air!, he is glad he did that. He wrecked the little foamy! I’m not glad that happened, but I am glad he got to go out there and give it a go!

This big V Tail is electric, radio controlled! A six-foot wingspan.

Wednesday was a perfect day! No wind! A rarity in Wyoming! Too bad he didn’t get to fly it. There will be another day!

I finished stitching on this tea towel! I used a variegated floss, DMC! It doesn’t change color very quickly, so it’s light in large areas! It’s fine!

And I put out my little September table runner. I made it several years ago. A gift from a friend. It has apples, so I think of school and September. There is also a photo of my sister and one of my brothers, taken last summer. And a hand decorated luminary that was on display at a Pow Wow for Hope in Minneapolis on August 28th! I supported the American Indian Cancer Foundation and placed the luminary in honor of my sister! Our nephew works for that organization, and I support their work!
