Tuesday!
It’s early! I got up at 4:15 am! I don’t know why! There is coffee (in my Contigo mug, that keeps it hot so I don’t have to keep running upstairs to rewarm a regular cup in the microwave) and an empty wrapper from belVita breakfast biscuits. A new pleasure. You might recognize the brown thingy I showed last week. I haven’t attached the pincushion yet, but the hole is perfect for the mini hand lotion bottle that is neatly empty. I can store it upside down til I finish it! 😆
Entertainment:
We are still watching one or two episodes of Lucifer. It’s still enjoyable! Tom Ellis is gorgeous!
And I finished Mary Trump’s book.
It just confirmed what I already knew in my “gut”! I come from a family of educated counselors and medical professionals as well as a law enforcement member, a lawyer and former military! So I know about mental health issues. This man has no business leading our country. And with that, I am done!
I’m on to a Mary Higgins Clark book called I'll Walk Alone! Loaned to me from a friend. It's about a child gone missing. His parents are divorced. I'm just getting started, so I have no opinion yet!
Family:
We celebrated a great grandson’s birthday on Saturday. He turned 7! We were not at his birthday. They live in Florida, but we had a zoom birthday! He got a new game for his Switch and invited me to play remotely using our Xbox. Unfortunately this old grandma doesn’t play video games. But it was nice of him to ask! Maybe we can be pen pals. That will help his reading and writing.
And we got an announcement of a new great nephew arriving in late February.
So an opportunity for another baby quilt! Hooray! I made this one for his older brother! (see Spiderman in above photo)
The weather has turned! Normally I like Fall, but this year I am ambivalent about it. I have this favorite table topper that is just right for the hexagon shaped table next to Mr Busy’s chair.

I’ve been looking for small Christmas motifs so I can use up some Christmas charm squares in my stash.
That is all the likes I have this day. It's Wednesday, the sun is shining, but it is only 40 degrees outside and inside it is 65. Our furnace is having a problem. The repairman has been called. I'll be in my sewing room in the basement, where it is warmer and I have a space heater. Also the iron will be on, so I should be fine! :)

I have not read the book but so tempted I do want to get Bob Woodruff(?) book that I have just started to hear about although I know I will get angry just reading more of how incompetent he is and I guess that will be all I will say about it.
ReplyDeleteI love those breakfast biscuits but they never fill me up. My coffee goes cold and I'm constantly heating it up but there is something about holding a warm mug (while it stays warm) in my hands that I enjoy
Belvita breakfast cookies... the best ! I love to see a table with stuff people actually use, its like a slice of their life. Oy to the person in the white house... agree totally. The hexie runner is really clever. LeeAnna

That Zoom is a wonderful things for these times. I love Mary Higgins Clark - that will be good escape reading! Your fall hexie project is so sweet. The embroidery mixed in with the fabric hexies are a pretty combination!
ReplyDeleteHi Judy, great list to read as I sit here with a cup of decaf. Your're the second blogger mentioning those BelVita breakfast biscuits (the Spinster Stitcher loves them). I've never tried them but may be a good thing to keep in the car for Tony who is pre diabetic. I've had that exact hexagon topper in my photo list for ages. It looks so nice and would be great with Christmas fabrics and motifs as well. How nice to get to see the kids and hear them through our technology, heh. Happy Reading!
