I LIKE Thursday. First Thursday of March

 

I follow Wild Woman Sisterhood on Facebook and she shared this artwork from Fox Under the Moon, from the UK.  The artwork and words are inspiring to me. 

Some likes this week:

The weather has been warmer, no more snow to shovel or icy roads to worry about. Nothings popping through the earth yet, but it will!

I like that Daylight Saving Time happens on Sunday the 9th at 2 AM.

I finished this book, I gave it 5⭐️

I meant to finish and schedule this last night. But I forgot. There has been a lot of that lately.!  😞

So here is the edit:

I got up early to get ready to go to Thursday Stitchers. Then I remembered I had planned to go get some needed blood work done this morning. I had dessert last night at about 8:30.  🍨

That meant I couldn't get my blood draw til 8:30 or after this morning. I was going to put it off, but snow is scheduled for this afternoon and evening and tomorrow.  So I showered, did my hair, then went to my sewing room so I wouldn't be tempted to have coffee and breakfast. 

So as I was leaving the house it started to snow. Not hard, not flakes, more like frozen rain. Wet but white on the grass. Got my blood drawn, grabbed a coffee at the kiosk in the hospital waiting room and headed to our meeting. I was late, but it was OK. We had a good gathering. 

I'm home now, I finished my Project Quilting = Follow Your Arrow.   See my post here later this evening.

as a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?   it may be more than one thing as you got older how did it change? Did you bring any aspect of that into your career?

Early on I wanted to teach deaf children. I thought the ASL was fascinating.  But as I grew older, jr high age maybe, I decided I wanted to be a pharmacist. I worked as a pharmacy assistant in our hospital one summer. I was fascinated. When I was a Junior in HS, a career test or aptitude test was given. The results were that I should be a scientific bookkeeper. I thought that was a perfect description of what a pharmacist was. But I got married instead and never went to college. I did go to work when my kids were school age and I worked as a bookkeeper,  office manager. So I guess the aptitude test was partly correct.
