SAHRR 2024 ~ Final Reveal

If you are a regular reader you may remember that my SAHRR started with an embroidery done many years ago!  I knew I didn’t want a full sized quilt or even a large wall hanging. My home is small, wall space is at a premium. So as the weeks went by and the new rounds were revealed I played with them. Sometimes only adding to the bottom, sometimes mixing 2 ideas to make up just one border. It wasn’t as successful as I had imagined, but it will be a fun remembrance of 2024’s Stay At Home Round Robin. 

I finished Rudy pretty quickly. Some simple straight line echo quilting, and the letters and numbers blanket stitched as part of the quilting. I added two triangles of a scrap of Christmas gingerbread fabric to the top corners as a way to hang it next Christmas. I love how the left one has the gingerbread man centered in the triangle. The backing is also a scraps of printed Christmas fabrics that was almost long enough.  It’s bound with red with white polka dots! 

Rudy is safely packed away with the other Christmas decorations and I’m sure I’ll grin from ear to ear when I take him out at the beginning of December! 

This is my 2 year of officially participating in the SAHRR. The first year I followed along learning how it happened and did not complete the project. But if Gail and Wendy, Anja,  Emily, Brenda and Kathleen do this event again, I’ll definitely join in!   I’ll be linking up over at Quilting Gail’s Parade.  Come over and see what other participants created.
