I’ve completed all the necessary blocks of split 9s and zippers in purple.
This week I attended a 3 day Sew-In. And so I decided it would be a good time to finally get a start on a quilt for my youngest nephew.
He lives in Minneapolis and works for the University. He earned a PhD in 2019. Auntie Judy is woefully behind in making a congratulatory quilt!
It’s under my needle, in the process of webbing the blocks. I should have the top done this weekend. Wish me luck!

ReplyDeleteSplit 9's is a great block pattern for a RSC quilt. Congratulations to you for getting the graduation quilt under the needle. I was seeing W's vs. M's thought your nephew graduated from U of Wisconsin. One state over, I see. :)
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like your 3 day sew-in was the perfect time to get those quilt blocks made and you're on your way to a quilt for your nephew! He won't mind that it's "late," he'll love it!

ReplyDeleteSo that's who that beautiful quilt is for. Good for your nephew, that is quite an achievement! I'm behind in getting our grandson's quilt done. His birthday is at the end of the month and I will not be finished. But it's OK, because he just got engaged last night and won't have quilts on his mind! :D
