My first UFO for March (green) was to get the outside sashing on Growing Up Odd. This is done and the two old curtain panels have been un-hemmed , trimmed up and pieced into a backing 82 x82.
The next step is purchase batting and deliver to the long arm quilter. I will bind it with something dark or maybe scrappy. It's going to be on the ground at the park for a picnic or in the car.
And Precarious is back from my long arm expert, who basted it for me so that I can attempt to quilt it myself!
She use a pastel multi colored thread, horizontally and vertically and some diagonal. She had never done this before, so she "overbasted rather than underbasted". Her words. Stitches are about 1/2" to 3/4" so I will be able to remove them easily.
I planned to matchstick quilt it. Well maybe not a "matchstick width" but maybe as wide as my pinkie finger,horizontally across the colored rows in matching colored thread. That is my vision. I am putting it here, so you all will hold me accountable. This has been a long time in the making, so I am determined to get it done.

You're moving right along on two big projects, Judy! That was a good idea to have your quilter baste Precarious for you - that's such a hard job with a big quilt. Looking forward to seeing the quilting next!
