I saw a link to Fat Quarter Shops Petite Stitches. Sunflower.

So I downloaded it and printed it. I've been wanting to do a Sunflower for Ukraine. Something.
I would have told you that I had some of every DMC color they make. But that is not true. Searching through 4 boxes, I found only 3031 Dark Brown of the 4 colors needed for this sunflower. Oh well, I made some creative adjustments. It will be fine. I'm using, DMC 840. Light Brown, DMC 977 Dark Yellow ( it's a bit orange) and probably DMC 726 for light yellow.
I also did not have 10 count fabric, so mine will be smaller I'm using 14 count. I'm OK with that too!
What will I do with it? I don't really know, but I'll keep you posted.
I hope to cut fabric to make a sunflower banner for our front door. I haven't yet, but I ordered a t-shirt from “kdspain”. like The Joyful Quilter.
That looks like an enjoyable project to work on, Judy! I, too, have gobs of embroidery floss here, leftover from older projects. Do I ever have tge exact right one, though? 😉

ReplyDeleteYour embroidered Sunflower is coming along nicely. I have tons of embroidery floss yet there is always a project that comes along and I either have too little left of a color or I just ran out.

ReplyDeleteThat looks like a great project. I haven't done any embroidery for awhile, but recently I saw a stitchery I may do. I'll be surprised if I have the right color. Enjoy your sunflower stitchery!
