Sharing today a few photos and items I am grateful for this week! Check out the other posts at Not Afraid of Color to see lots of “Likes” today! Thanks LeeAnna for giving us this place to be Thankful!
1. Last week our “beverage/party” fridge failed. It was the fridge that we used since we moved into this house in 1988. We replaced it about 8 10 years ago and put it in the garage, thinking it would last 6 months or so! I am THANKFUL for friends that came forward and offered us this wonderful replacement!
2. We normally ZOOM with kids and grands on Sundays. But our youngest granddaughter called me Tuesday after she got home from work. It’s good to talk one on one! She is my "Miss Sunshine"! So GRATEFUL that she is happy and well.
3. I spoke with my friend and long arm quilter that had been diagnosed with COVID-19. She is feeling much much better and says she’s back to 100%. THANKFUL!
4. As you read this we are on our way to share the holidays with our son. He was going to be alone...I couldn’t let that be the case! We are taking extreme precautions as we drive West. Masks, hand sanitizer, Clorox wipes, 6 ft apart, no crowds. We are so EXCITED to be able to see him!
4. We had a little “oh no!” happen Sunday. As I started my car, the check engine light came on. Mr Busy added the diesel fuel additive, that the owners manual stated may be the reason. Nope! So he immediately called the dealer and they got it in at 7 am Tuesday. By noon we had it back in the driveway, all better. Nothing serious, it was low on coolant! What! Oh well, they added coolant and did not bill us! I LIKE THAT!

Stay Busy and Stay Happy and Healthy
have a safe trip not the best time to do that - good that your car problem was nothing serious! you don't want that to happen and be on the road at the same time.

ReplyDeletesurprise calls that connect us... very nice. Finding out friends are recovering, great news. Car mechanics that give you the gift of their time makes you trust them and go back when it's more involved
ReplyDeleteBe safe on your trip. I wanted to travel during my vacation....but with the numbers exploding I just didn't feel that it was a good idea. But I am lucky one daughter and grands live next door. How nice that your car was fixed so quickly. Glad your friend/long arm quilter is recovering from COVID. I have a friend who was diagnosed, I was really worried because she is wheelchair bound, and has a lot of health issues. She spent a week in the hospital, but is now home and doing great. She said it was scary while many of the patient in the COVID ward were getting worse, she actually got better.

ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that you're going to spend some time with your son. No one should be alone on the holidays, not old fogies like me nor younger folks. Be smart about crowds and wash up before and after going out. Glad your car is back and really glad no bill! Now that's a great mechanic! Have a good finish to your week!
