I’m joining Kathy and other slow stitching friend for Slow Stitching Sunday! A day to celebrate needle, thread and your own hands!
Today I plan to complete the February design on Woven Wreaths by Kathy Schmitz. I got up a bit early and watch her helpful video again. Just to refresh my memory of her suggested stitch for the tiny leaves. Wish me luck, I’m not a good satin stitcher. But maybe I can master the “fan stitch”!
This is what it looks like early this morning.
Then I will put the week’s stitches in my temperature heart. The fabric is Peaceful Purple, 14 ct Aida. I purchased it October 2022 from Fat Quarter Shop.
I finished the binding on En Provence and added a label.
And my small Love Valentine stitch is done. An FO, but not a FFO just yet. A design from Melisa at Pinker n Punkin Quilting &Stitching. Stitched on a pink piece of 14 ct Aida that has been in my stash for 20+ years.

She had some leftovers and used them on the back, and in a large bed runner, and 2 king size pillow shams!
I'm not good with satin stitch, either, Judy, but fan stitch seems to be easier. Maybe because there's more of a plan to it? Love your Love stitch - that's a pretty one. And your friend's hand-pieced quilt with the tiny pieces - wow!!

ReplyDeleteOh. my goodness you are prolific and I love all your projects! I finished the February Woven Wreath block yesterday and enjoyed the leaf stitching using Kathy's ideas. Such a fun project to work on each month. Your friend's quilt is amazing - thanks for sharing it and thanks for linking up to Slow Sunday Stitching!
