Beautiful sunflower from a neighbor was left on my porch last Thursday! There were three more buds!
Bud number 2 opening. ⤴️
The leaves are wilting , but #3 is opening and so I trimmed off 2 lower leaves and recut the stem . Refreshed the water and back on the table. Bud number 3 opening. ⤵️
Here is my neighbor’s sunflower garden. ⤵️
I’ve been able to have morning coffee on the deck. That makes me happy. Sometimes Mr. Busy even joins me!
Our granddaughter and grandson-in-law are raising a breakfast chef. She likes to make pancakes!
Do you remember May Day? Baskets with goodies left on the doorstep or door handle? Well, I have a secret sly neighbor! She left a bag on the door knob tof the walk-in door to the garage.
This was inside! Actually 2 zucchini and 1 cucumber....but we already ate one of the zucchini. Roasted with sweet potato chunks , red onion and marinated chicken thighs ( boneless, skinless - cause I'm counting WW points.)

Piękne słoneczniki😊🌻🌻🌻
ReplyDeleteThose sunflowers! Are they planted in her front yard? I wonder if they are volunteer, does she plant them every year? Your great-granddaughter's pancakes look delicious. :) What a nice veggie gift from your neighbor! Is it fairly cool in the mornings where you are? I'd love to sit on our patio with coffee - it's already 78 degrees this morning with 72% humidity - ugh.
ReplyDeleteYou have great neighbours. I just adore that sunflower and of course, the veg dropped off too. My favourite though is the wonderful picture of the little one making great looking pancakes. Enjoy your weekend you two.
ReplyDeleteAwe what a sweet looking breakfast chef. You received some pretty sunflowers and the veges look good, too. You must also be a good neighbor for them to treat you so well.
ReplyDeleteThose are pretty sunflowers! I try and try to grow them, but there are too many squirrels around here. That's a cute breakfast maker! I would love to have someone make me pancakes. Your dinner sounds yummy!
ReplyDeleteOh I love the sunflower garden. Perhaps next year I can get some planted. You were Zucchini bombed, notice how sneaky she was leaving it on the side door. :D What a cute chef in the making. My Aubri loves to bake, not cook so much anymore, but once upon a time it was all about the breakfast too. Morning deck sitting with coffee is the best!
ReplyDeleteThe sunflowers are so pretty! I have harvested a zucchini and cucumber as well!
ReplyDeleteOoh - I like those sunflowers! Never too early to learn how to cook. :-) I do remember May Day. I need to start giving away my cukes, to! lol
ReplyDeleteFresh veggies left on the door in secret? A very good "like"! I hope that great-granddaughter continues to cook. So healthy!
