No beauty products for me to recommend. I rarely wear any makeup. Lipstick, muted, occasionally.
Two product that are always in my house are Aquaphor, and Vick’s.
In the winter my hands get extra dry. My fingertips split. Aquaphor is my go-to remedy! Slather on, cover with white cotton gloves at bedtime.
Vicks is in my medicine cabinet at all times too! Chapped lips, stuffy nose, sore throat, cough, tiny paper cut. It fixes it all! ps: It’s often referred to as “husband repellent “ at our house! Tongue in cheek!,

I picked up Pop Star from my favorite quilter. It’s ready for binding! I think the quilting is lovely, don’t you?
I reorganized some baskets in my sewing room! Actually I emptied some!
A friend and I talked about “scarcity syndrome” as being very real. I find it so hard to let go of stuff, that most times I don’t. This week a box to donate to our Quilt Show’s Boutique! ( a nook at the venue that is packed with books, patterns, fabrics, all for sale)
So far, family in Florida are safe! I am concerned though!

ReplyDeleteWe've been keeping track of family in Florida, too. So far everyone is okay! I've never tried Aquaphor, but should get some. The quilting on PopStar looks wonderful, Judy - perfect to go with that pretty floral in your big star.

The quilting on your most recent quilt finish is gorgeous. You'll be enjoying it in no time! I love Aquaphor, too, or something called Working Hands. ReplyDeleteI have very dry hands and am allergic to dish soap, so when I fail to put on rubber gloves, my hands get chafed and cracked - ick. I've used so many different lotions and creams but nothing gives any lasting relief, so thank you for the Aquaphor tip. I grew up with Vick's and a warmed wash cloth on my throat/chest at night, and I did the same for our kids. There is nothing so comforting to me as that smell!
