I LIKE Thursday #13

 I’m joining bloggers at Not Afraid Of Color. LeeAnna  gives us the opportunity to share some likes every Thursday.

Beside my chair.

This cute black and orange checked pumpkin mug rug. It's got a scrap of batting and some stitched curved lines to make the pumpkin shape and the edges are raw and cut like a rag quilt. I didn't make it, it was a party favor at a fall luncheon I attended years ago. And my book of DISCOVERIES.  I love to look at junk journals and bullet journals on PINTEREST. I ordered some dot lined inserts online and added a piece of scrapbook paper for a cover. I keep track of what movies we have watched on Netflix, Prime, and Hulu and what series we watch and which episode we are one. Also this I where I jot a quilt idea or hint I come across while reading blogs. 

It's Fall so....

I'll be wearing my "jamma shoes" a lot more. We have mostly hardwood floors in the upstairs and my feet are always cold. But you know what they say, "cold feet warm heart"!!  When our 3 year old great granddaughter lived with us last winter, she started calling my slippers, Jamma shoes! I think she notices that I wore them with my pajama pants! 

And now that it's October, I'll also be sporting my Halloween socks.  These are my favorites. I'm not at all a fan of spiders, but these are subtle enough to wear to work. I don't go to work anymore. But I still wear them in October! 

Another thing that is my fall go-to is soup!  

Early in the week, I made my version on Weight Watchers (or WW, as they prefer to be called) No Points Vegetable soup. 

This is before it had cooked awhile so the zucchini and the summer squash are still pretty colorful and raw. It is really good and one of our favorites. 

A friend called me for this recipe, also a favorite. It makes a bunch and reheats well. 

I have been making scrap baskets over the last couple of months. I have been trying to get all the colors done. I have light and dark blue, light and dark green. This month I made a red one and then discovered I needed a dark red or burgundy one also. 

My full red one and still a tote of darker reds. 

So now the burgundy one is done. Next is yellow, then brown/tan, maybe blacks and grays and multi darks. I like them a bit better than the lidded plastic shoeboxes. Well, they are prettier at least!
