I LIKE THURSDAY 11-7-24

I had last week’s post started, then completely spaced it out. So I didn’t answer the prompt!

 what is your favorite Halloween treat?  do you give out candy to kids and what 

kind? have you ever run out?

 My favorite candy/treat is Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup or variation thereof. I don’t often buy them because I can’t resist!  We do hand out candy, mostly Snickers. 

Because it’s Mr. Busy’s favorite and we usually have less than 15 kids at the door. This year you will notice Fun size M&M’s. I bought 2 packages early, to include with a birthday gift to friend. So there was some left over that got added to my treat bowl. This year we had 25 Trick or Treaters,  but didn’t run out!  We have never run out!

Great grandson. The costume is purchased, his scythe was homemade by J and his Dad!

Miss B as a wounded Snow White. She’s holding an empty Maple Leaf shaped bottle that was on my buffet. She suggested I fill it with green water so I looked like poison. Next year for sure! 😀

Our youngest great grand, Miss E. Not exactly sure what her costume is, but in my opinion a beautiful black fairy! 

That was the good “I like” stuff. 

This week, I haven’t seen a prompt. But I have to admit, tonight, Wednesday I am heartbroken, fearful, and feeling deeply depressed! 

We’ve had cold, snow, and cloudy skies. 

I guess I am thankful that my stitching and quilting community has decided to not talk politics when we meet.  We just like each other no matter what! 

I finished the current read for my book club. I recommend it ! 

Go As A River by Shelley Read.  It’s just beautifully written! 

And to fill the time until we meet on the 18th, I’m reading The Amber Keeper by Freda Lightfoot.its been on my kindle since 2017. I don’t know why I haven’t read it. It’s very good! 

For some reason I can no longer get an image of a book cover from Amazon or Goodreads or Google or Kindle. I love to show the book covers :(

We are back to watching Season 2 of Special Ops: Lioness.
