Not much green was stitched this week.
A tiny 3.5" green Hour block for May from Pieces in the Garden at Melva Loves Scraps. I am having such trouble with keeping these tiny block square. I like them when completed, but the actual sewing of them kicks my "tush".

This one in greens and purples!
I didn't get any green string blocks sewn. I had a small needle and 50 wt thread in the machine to try to get a handle on those tiny pieces of the Hour block above. I like a little heavier thread and a bigger, "paper only" needle when I sew strings on telephone book pages. So those didn't happen. Nor did the Sampler placemat/mini table topper. No excuses for that one, other than other things were going on.
I'm looking forward to sewing some blue for June.
I'm looking forward to a new color! I have one more large block to finish that I hope to do and have finished by June 1st before the new color starts.

ReplyDeleteYour blocks look great! I struggle with each month's blocks on Pieces in the Garden and haven't even started the one for May. I like the greens and purples together! I always enjoy your blog headers and love that flag one.
