I LIKE Thursday #33

Linking up with LeeAnna at Not Afraid of Color! A place to share the good stuff!

ENTERTAINMENT:  Puzzles

Finished this one and immediately started another that was on our shelf. This one was from a gift exchange at our guild years ago!

SCREEN:

We are still watching EVERWOOD, but now it is shown on HBO MAX. I don’t know why it changed streaming services, but luckily I found it! Yes, that’s Treat Williams as Dr Brown, (far left, in case you are not a huge fan, like me) and a very young Chris Pratt as Bright Abbott ( in the blue zip collared sweatshirt, back row)!

And we are watching the new season of FOR ALL MANKIND ! On Apple+.

CULINARY:

I haven’t baked anything new, but plan to this week, Lemon Luscious! It’s what my mom would have called a refrigerator dessert! Graham cracker crust, pudding, cream cheese, cook whip!

But in a pinch, my go to treat, is mixed nuts, chocolate chips, white chocolate chips and what ever else is in the cupboard! Raisins, dried cranberries , dried cherries, pretzels , whatever!

We call it Gorp! I don’t know why,

WEATHER:

The sun has been shining and Tuesday and Wednesday we were able to go for a short walk! The sidewalks in our neighborhood are clear except for occasional wet melting overrun! That felt good. The temperature has been between 40 and 56, so far.  Spring is coming!

If you want to see other likes...check out Not Afraid of Color. Link at the beginning of my post!

Stay Busy and Stay Happy and Healthy!

  3. Love your puzzles. The quilt block one with the birds is awesome. I love to cook, but if I do I pass it on to my daughter and grandkids. I love trail mix type snacks, but find I like the salty sweet and don't stick to the serving size. It was warm enough yesterday to take my dog to the park so I could get my steps in. Today, we are much to cold.

  4. I have heard of that treat called "gorp" don't know why it has that name - my problem if I make anything like this hubby will eat the entire jar full in one sitting - same with any desert he will eat it until it is gone so I make very little these days as he shouldn't have them and needs to loose a ton of weight

  5. Gorp is one of my favorite snacks, too - but I don't know why it's called that either! I love your newest puzzle. Perfect for a quilter, and looks like you put it together pretty quickly! 40s and 50s feel wonderful after so much lower temperatures in the recent weeks. Glad you've been able to get out!
