Slow Sunday Stitching 7-7-24!

 

Today I’ll be joining Kathy and others for Slow Sunday Stitching!  And there will be a birthday party for certain very special 8 year old! 

She and her Daddy baked her birthday cake! 

I think I need to stop making plans for my stitching! Last week, I did watch the Kathy Schmitz video for the July part of Woven Wreaths! But I didn’t lay a single stitch! 

This is technically the second week on the July calendar, so I hope to finish Spring String 

and I’ll play catch up on the bird on Woven Wreaths. 

Mr Busy and I have completed our binging of Your Honor on Netflix, and last night we watched Fancy Dance on Apple TV+.  I recommend them both.

Slow Sunday Stitching…

During a long holiday weekend.

I have several slow stitching projects in progress. SPIPs! Or SWIPs.  :)

This Spring String from Lizzie Kate using some called for colors and some substituted colors. All DMC.

Stitched on 18 ct Aida that I coffee/tea dyed .

The Temperature Stitch is ongoing! Chart from FQS in 2023. Stitched on Peaceful Purple 14 ct with called for colors using the chart for Wide Range temperatures. 

And WINTER SAL will get time in the hoop this week.! 14 ct Aida in Riviera Aqua from Stitchonomy!

I’m using called for colors, I’m did not purchase the kit, so no extra charms.

Slow Sunday Stitching

There should have been more slow Sunday stitching today. But I had a project spread all over my sewing room and was sort of "overfocused". It's to the next step so tonight I will have some time to do some quiet slow stitching. 

I have GROW almost to the finish line.  I'm hoping to find a frame at Hobby Lobby that will be just right. 

I have the first week of the Stitchonomy WinterSAL done and have started on the next line.  BRIGHT STARS!

And of course there is the Kathy Schmitz April wreath for her Woven Wreaths SAL. I watched the video, so I should be good to start that this week too. 

I have a book to read for my book club meeting on the 15th. The library just called me that it was there after I put it on hold a week and a half ago. I think I need a schedule. 

1.Finish GROW today or rather this evening will in front of the TV.

2.Then do some stitches on Woven Wreaths. Probably continue on it this week of the 7th to the 13th. 

3.I'll leave the Winter SAL for Thursdays at my Stitching Group gatherings and the week of the 21st through the 27th of each month. 

4.This is the Temperature Heart Cross Stitch that shows the days of January . February, and March.

Slow Sunday Stitching! January 14th

Good Morning from 🥶, Frigid 🥶 NE Wyoming. The temperature was -27 when I got up at 6:45am. The predicted high is -1F . I’ll be staying in today, putting last week’s temperature colors in my x stitch temperature heart! 

This is Jan 1st - 6th. Today I had to go to my floss stash to get the proper color for -6 F and below! I think I’m liking this SLOW Stitch. ❤️💙

And then I’ll be starting on the January snowman from Kathy Schmitz’s Woven Wreath sampler.

I showed this last week, but didn’t get it started. I want to watch the video again, before I start! 

 I see Kathy , our hostess here at Slow Sunday Stitching is working on it too. And Diann from

Little Penguin Quilts has hers done. Check it out! 

I have a friend who snowbirds in AZ, she, too,  is doing this fun stitch! I haven’t seen her progress, but I’m guessing she done! 🙂
