I’m joining friends at Not Afraid of Color to share I Like Thursday. Hoping that LeeAnna is doing better. It been a tough month or so for her.
I’m sitting here listening to Denver News (Wednesday). There are 3 Forest/Wildfires happening in that area since this Monday. One west of Loveland , where our daughter lives. ( She is fine and will be unless something changes) Our friend Diann at Little Penguin Quilts is there too. Another is closer to Lyons, that is about 1.5 hours northwest Aurora.
I’m grateful that the people I know in that area are safe. I’m glad so far there has been only one fatality. I am thankful for firefighters and communities that pitch in and help each other.
There were a few good things this week.
I’m really enjoying reading this book. It’s a suspenseful story regarding a fictional administration and Secretary of State and some bad actors intent on destroying our country with nuclear weapons! Louise Penny and Hillary Clinton make a good team. Even if you are not a Hillary fan, this is a good story. Right up there with David Baldacci’s Stone Cold and Simple Genius.
I recently purchased this cover for my glass topped stove. We have a low profile microwave above it and I am always concerned I drop a glass dish or cup and shatter the top.
This makes me feel better
We have finished watching The Acolyte on Disney+. We are a Star Wars family. We continue to enjoy these fantastical stories.
And we have started watching MONK. We never watched all the episodes. It’s a unstressful way to finish an evening. Mr Busy and I just giggle.

which events do you watch more on summer olympics?
Oh, we haven't finished the Acolyte yet but are really enjoying it. We plan to Monk when we finish watching Boston Legal. Love a good laugh!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your good thoughts about the fires, Judy! I, too, am thankful for the firefighters who are up there trying to put these fires out. I liked that book, too - I wish they would write more together! We've watched all the Star Wars series they've put out and enjoyed them, too. You made me laugh, talking about would you like to be a competitive athlete - not even close here, either!
