Shared from Sweatpants and Coffee.
Not much to write home about this week. We did absolutely nothing special for our holiday Monday. Mr Bussy continues to grill the supper protein, if it works. We’ve had brats, chicken tenders, pork chops. There was laundry of course, some ironing of several pairs of capris and pillowcases.
I had coffee with a quilting, stitching friend. It’s always fun to catch up.
The baby quilt was delivered to Juliet’s grandpa. He will be visiting them in Sioux Falls SD, the end of next week. I requested some pictures of her with the quilt.
As far as LeeAnna’s question about school clothes and shoes. I don’t have recollections about anything specific. My mom sewed some, but not everything. When I was a teen, there was one special time that my Dad must have had a bonus or something, because he bought me a pleated Pendleton wool skirt. It was brown and beige and dark forest green. It was the most gorgeous thing I had ever had. I wish I had a photo to share, but that was 63 years ago and I have no idea where one might be. That stuff happens when you’re creeping up on 80!😀

Two tomatoes were plucked from the one plant I have. I counted 7 more pale green to orange ones. If a freeze is forecast, I’ll pick them
Mr Busy is willingly going to cardiac rehab 3 days a week. He says he is actually enjoying it. That makes me happy. I try to walk in the mornings while he is gone. I finished listening to James.
I highly recommend it. It’s a retelling of Huckleberry Finn from Jim’s POV. Very well done. Looking forward to forward to the discussion that will take place at the gathering of our book club.
Today the Thursday Stitchers will gather in a new place Our library is extra busy this time of year. So we have been invited to gather at the Moose Lodge. They will feed us taco salad. It should be fun.
Stay Busy and Stay Happy and Healthy and Hopeful.

When my husband had a heart attack in 2012, he was depressed afterward and reluctant to go to rehab, so I went with him and exercised for free. It helped having me there, but he never enjoyed it, so I'm glad that Mr Busy is willingly going!
ReplyDeleteThose tomatoes look good! Hope you enjoy the rest of your week.
I love the idea of giving yourself grace and coffee! We always need that!
ReplyDeleteSo glad Mr. Busy likes going to rehab - that will help him. And your tomatoes are starting to ripen - hooray! Mine finally are, too. Have a fun day stitching, Judy!
ReplyDeleteLiking rehab makes such a difference! I hope he makes great progress. Someone was eating my green tomatoes, so I picked them! I hope they ripen. I am envious of yours. :-)
ReplyDeleteGood one
