To-Do Tuesday #73

 



Happy To-Do Tuesday!  Last week I did not share a list! I was having a hard time staying with any one project. I knew we would be telling our son goodbye in the coming week and I was not looking forward to that! I learned our  youngest granddaughter (she’s 28), tested positive for Covid. Our daughter has been having some blood pressure issues, spikes, then trips to the ER with no definitive diagnosis. The anniversary of my sister’s death was looming and then our 8 yo great grandson tested positive. So, no goals were set. 

I got the red X outline finished and started the outlining backstitch on Santa Baker. This photo shows the red x's almost done. I don't have a photo of the outlining, but trust me  please. My stitchery is in the car and I am just not going down to the car from the hotel room to get a photo. I'll share it on I LIKE Thursday at Not Afraid of Color, if we are home. 




We are on our way home. Monday we made it from our son's home in northern California to Winnemucca NV .  We got a motel room and will hopefully get to Wyoming on Tuesday. We should be home by Wednesday. 


My list for. January 11- January 17

1. Laundry and unpack

2. Continue backstitching the detail on Santa Baker

3. Turn on my sewing machine and sew at least 1 Red string block and 1 Red Happy Block.

    It is so hard to concentrate on much when you're worried about your family! I hope the ones you mentioned that have gotten Covid are having mild symptoms. Glad you're on your way home and hope the roads are clear for you. Hooray for home being on the horizon!

    Blood pressure scares can be very unsettling.
    Years ago I learned the scary way to watch what I eat after too much black licorice candy spiked my blood pressure.

    Judy that sounds like last week was a very unsettling week. No wonder you couldn't settle on any one project. And now you seem to be on a very long journey home. All the best for that. Laundry at the end of it seems like a very good goal.

    Hi Judy, I guess you're home now. I know it was hard to say good-bye, especially with everything else going on in your family. I hope your granddaughter and great-grandson and daughter all heal and feel better. Santa Baker looks great!
