Saturday Snapshot Special Birthday Boy

This week I am sharing a few ( pretty poor ) photos of our great grandson's 1st birthday. There were lots of grandparents, parents, aunties taking pictures, so I leaned in and did the best I could with my smartphone camera.

 His parents sat Joseph on a black plastic tablecloth and set this cake in front of him. At first he was reluctant to touch it.

 He finally got into just smashing it with his hand. He did put the frosting encrusted fingers to his mouth just once and decided it was "yuckky".  He doesn't like ice cream either we have discovered.

Our granddaughter and her husband baked both cakes at home. His theme was Jake and the Neverland Pirates, this is the cake the guests got to enjoy. While the rest of us were eating cake, Joseph was in the tub, getting green and yellow frosting washed off his hands and face. I will not share that picture, because he is standing up and not very modest!!! LOL

We had a wonderful time sharing this little boys special day with his extended blended family. He has 4 sets of grandparents, uncles, aunties, great aunties, and 3 great grandmothers and a great grandfather. A lucky boy!!
