Today I am just posting a picture taken by my friend of a butterfly found in her backyard here in Wyoming last week. Her granddaughter (age 9) was completely enthralled by this beautiful creature. We have butterflies in Wyoming but it is unusual to be able to photograph them as they emerge. Totally made me feel like spring is just around the corner. Then today it is dreary, rainy and cool. Wonderful Wyoming.

Oh, so pretty. I'm impressed that someone was able to get a shot of it. Wish we could have a bit of your rain. We're moving quickly into summer and haven't had nearly enough moisture yet.

I love that flash of blue on its...tail? Do butterflies have tails? Well, whatever, it looks beautiful!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous swallowtail! I have flowers in my garden that these butterflies love! They lay their eggs and I get to watch them from caterpillars to butterflies ... so miraculous! Thanks for this photo!
