Gardens

 

Last week I promised pictures from our Garden Walk. 

Our walk started with stopping by the Master Gardener’s table in front of the County Extension Office. We picked up wristbands and bought raffle tickets. They also had this photo op board. We took advantage. Only places for three faces, so Colleen “volunteered” not to be silly. Joan in the pink flower, Connie in the purple , she’s the youngest and could get down on her knees, and me behind the turquoise petals. LOL

I took a photo of this lily to show Mr Busy what I want to put in our yard. 

These two picture were taken at a huge yard that belongs to a local owner of an oilfield production company . Needless to say he’s “made a buck or two”.  The statue in front of the home is actually a fountain.it shows a horse taking a drink of water out of the cowboys hat. It’s titled, “Friends Drink First”.

The artist is Bradford Williams. 

In the backyard is a sculpture of a stagecoach and horses. I couldn’t get close enough to see the plaque. 

Another garden had a large water feature. There were several with ponds and small spillways. 

Also a tiki bar complete with sand. 

This owner lives out of town and owns her own business. She lives on the business property. 

LeAnnaasked if we like to go to Flea Markets or Thrift Stores or Secondhand Stores?  My resounding answer is NO! I am donating TO them as fast as I can!.

As you can see, some gardeners in our town are avid thrifters and  flea market shoppers. ⤵️

 

The last garden had a beautiful hanging bird bath, some lovely pots surrounding her mulched trees and a large greenhouse. Almost necessary in our short growing season in Wyoming.
