I love CraftGossip.com

I am trying to show a link to Craftgossip.com.  I am not sure I have done it correctly.

We are back in Wyoming. Still need to unpack the trailer. My sewing machine and all my supplies are in it, so I am anxious to get it all back in my sewing room.
Our last leg of our journey, from Fort Collins to Gillette, was very windy, blowing snow, icy roads.  BIG YUCKY.  But we are all safe and Steve's cat, Tux was glad to see us. He was fine with his caretaker, but glad we are home I think

We are leaving Arizona and going back home to Wyoming. We have enjoyed our 2 months with our DS and DDIL.  We've laughed and joked.  We've cooked and eaten out. We've explored and tried new hobbies. But it is time to get back to our regular life and discover what retired together really means. I am so looking forward to stopping to see our DD and grandkids.  I think her husband will still be traveling when we go through her city on our way home. I pray for good traveling weather, it looks good on the Weather Channel site.  So tomorrow morning, EARLY to miss the traffic, we will depart. I am also looking forward to starting a new BLOCK of the MONTH with Val Laird. I am going to do it in creams and browns. Very subdued, but calming and beautiful, I hope.

What is next

Almost 2 weeks into the new year. I haven't been as productive as I would have hoped. Maybe when we finally bet home and back to "normal". It has been different being away from home for 2 months.  I do want to join a book club or book blog.  Have to decide if I will be able to keep up and still get all my other "projects" done. I also want to learn how to post pictures here, to change the heading of my blog. You know, spiff it up a bit.  Hopefully I'll be able to accomplish all that I want to.  New Year....new time in my life.  All is good.

New Year

Now that I am retired, I want to get organized at home. I want to try a couple of new crafts or projects. Maybe card making or scrapbooking.  I already knit, crochet, embroider ( both surface and crossstitch)and sew. Quilting is my current passion, though my embroidery juices have been flowing lately. Stitching is a more portable project than quilting and we are currently visiting in Arizona for the rest of January. As soon as we get home, I will start on my sewing room. I need to organize and finish UFO's.

I also need to clean closets and cupboards.  Sounds interesting ( not, but necessary).
